We have a Pitt Bull that we learned a year ago was infected with heartworms. He had been a search and rescue dog so he could have had them any length of time. At any rate, the vet put him on Heartgard Plus Chewable tablets.
We gave him one each month all year long. On the next visit back to the vet to see what he recommended as a treatment for heartworms, he tested our dog. Astonishingly enough, there was no sign of the heartworms at all.
They were completely gone! We believe with all our hearts that Heartgard Plus saved our beloved dog’s life, and remain thankful. In addition, he continues to receive the tablet once a month.
