Our vet prescribed Heartgard Plus for both of our dogs. One is a Corgi/Jack Russell whose name is Palo, and the other one is a Llahsa Apso named Erica.
The Heartgard Plus chewables worked great on both of them and they both loved the taste. When they went in for their next yearly heartworm test, the vet prescribed a different brand of heartworm medication. Neither of our dogs would take it.
They managed to eat around the pill and spit it out no matter what I hid it in. Even though the vet’s office no longer stocked Heartgard Plus, we managed to get a prescription for it and now order it online. Our dogs are happy again and so are we.
